Burkertype 8045 insertion magmeter, together with Type 2031 diaphragm valve, offers a practical solution for continuous flow measurement and batch control of nearly all liquids (neutral and aggressive) with or without solids.

Easy ON/OFF or continuous pneumatic control loops using Type 8045 and Type 2031 can be designed to meet sensitive flow requirements of water treatment, chemical processing and food processing applications. Users can establish an Easy LINKT electrical connection between the sensor and the valve, eliminating (if desired) the need for wiring from a PLC to individual sensors and actuators. Each combination includes sensor, control and communication functions, the most direct and lowest cost control loop in process automation.

With its design for negligible pressure drop, and operating range of 0.16 fps to 33 fps, Type 8045 delivers accuracy of up to <0.5% of range when individually calibrated or when Burkert's unique TEACH-IN function is utilized. Type 8045 consists of an insertion magmeter sensor, an electronic circuit board with LCD display and three function keys in a NEMA 4 (IP65) enclosure. The sensor, with two magnetic electrodes, is constructed of PVDF and has a stainless steel grounding ring which contacts the process fluid.

Local calibration and operation is accomplished through a menu-driven display featuring clear text, including engineering units, on a large 8-digit LCD display that includes both flow rate and volume. Output signals include 4-20mA, pulse and two relay outputs.

Type 2031 diaphragm valves provide high flow rates and are available in 316 stainless steel to handle polluted, abrasive, sanitary or viscous liquids. Type 2031 is ideal for use with the Type 8045 magmeter in all types of ON/OFF or continuous control process applications.

The diaphragm between the actuator and valve body hermetically isolates the fluid from the actuator. The valves are maintenance-free and extremely robust and can be retrofitted with a comprehensive range of accessories to provide more options in managing solution rates.

These valves incorporate a 2/2-way body design with multiple process connections of 5/16" to 2" including NPT, TriClamp, weld-end and flanged. Valve bodies offer high temperature/control pressure ratings up to 280°F / 0-140 PSI. Diaphragm options are EPDM or PTFE/EDPM.
