Lateral Sealing System

The TOP HAT system offers a permanent lateral sealing in relined pipelines. The system uses a Polyester impregnated corrosion resistant fiberglass insert. It can reach 8'' into the lateral and creates a 3" "brim" in the main pipe. The Epoxy component achieves superior sealing on wet surfaces. The equipment package has 5 applicators and is capable of covering 6 to 20" main pipes and 4 and 6" laterals. The unique fiberglass insert fits T or Y connections. It is delivered impregnated and wrapped in protective black foil. Installation is easy, the laminate is placed on the applicator, driven to the opening and inserted by air pressure.

The system's control panel includes monitor, inflation/deflation of applicator, UV-light control with timing device, and power for camera/ light head. Crawler control is in a separate unit. The hose reel includes a 310 ft. custom cable with a built-in air line. The cable length can be extended to 495 ft. on request. The stainless steel reel features automatic cable rewinding with crawler return.

A complete solution package contains:
• Applicators w/ built-in 7 minute UV lights cure
• Self-propelled transporter w/ built-in camera
• Control unit - transporter, TV, inflation and curing
• Hose reel -supplies video, power and air connections
• Equipment mounted in trailer
