Houston, TX (PRWEB) - Inhance Technologies, a market leader in innovative plastics solutions, announced today that it has reached an agreement with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA - Region VII) to resolve claims from the agency dating back to 2010 concerning the administration of certain risk management programs at select company locations. The agreement resolves the matter, with Inhance neither admitting nor denying the agency’s allegations, which at no point contained any claim of a chemical release, exposure or injury. In addition, as part of the settlement, Inhance volunteered to develop and implement an innovative system that will represent the best available emission control technology for Hydrogen Fluoride recovery and recycling.

“Inhance is pleased to reach an agreement that strengthens our already strict environmental protection protocols at our facilities, where we are, and continue to operate in compliance with the required EPA and OSHA standards,” said Andrew Thompson, President and Chief Executive Officer of Inhance. “Inhance has long been committed to being a responsible member of the communities in which we operate and this agreement delivers on that ongoing commitment. We are pleased to put this legacy issue behind us and to implement our innovative Hydrogen Fluoride recovery and recycling process technology that goes well beyond any legally mandated process and underscores our continued commitment to the environment as a Responsible Care® Company” continued Thompson. Under the agreement Inhance will pay a civil penalty of $59,000.
