The "Wilks IR Plug," is an in-line, mid-infrared sensor that continually monitors infrared absorption at any selected wavelength between 2 and 14 mm
Covering the mid-IR from 2 to 14 µm (5000 to 700 cm-1)
The "Wilks IR Plug," is an in-line, mid-infrared sensor that continually monitors infrared absorption at any selected wavelength between 2 and 14 mm. Each Wilks IR Plug consists of a source of infrared radiation, a pyroelectric detector with a filter window that isolates a specific wavelength, a thermistor to measure stream temperature and an optical element that creates infrared absorption by means of attenuated total reflection (ATR). Pulsed radiation from the source eliminates the need for a mechanical chopper.
