Laser Imaging Systems is now taking orders for the GasVue TG-5, a new technology for assembly line leak detection. This patented technology (US#4,555,627) is ideally suited for use at your product leak repair station. Gone are the days of dipping your products under water, or painting with soap to see if your repair was effective. Just pressurize it with the tracer gas (SF6) and look at the TV monitor! The high-resolution image from the TG-5 laser camera makes the leaking gas VISIBLE on the TV monitor, allowing the operator to precisely pinpoint the leak location. The real-time video display of the TG-5 allows leak visualization while the product is being repaired. Furthermore, the TG-5 is capable of visualizing sulfur hexafluoride (SF6) leaks in the 10-4 scc/sec range, well beyond the leak detection capabilities of underwater or soap bubble techniques - and your product doesn't have to be cleaned and dried afterwards. And commercially available gas recovery systems allow the SF6GasVue TG-5 system.
