The FLOWSIC 100 series of gas velocity monitors from SICK, Inc. are ideal for emission monitoring and process applications
The FLOWSIC 100 series of gas velocity monitors from SICK, Inc. are ideal for emission monitoring and process applications. It is designed to conduct direct and non-contact ultrasonic measurements of gas velocities and volumetric flows in gas ducts without the need for interfering installations in the duct.

Ultrasonic converters are mounted on both sides of the gas duct, at a certain angle, to the direction of flow. These converters alternately transmit and receive sound pulses in and against the direction of the gas flow. FLOWSIC measures the propagation time delay of the pulses and uses this to calculate the velocity of the gas, independent of local pressure and temperature conditions.

Other advantages of the FLOWSIC series are recording of gas temperature and volumetric flow and an ultrasonic propagation time delay measuring principle. It is easy to install and extremely reliable with low maintenance requirements and a flexible, user-friendly parameterization via MEPA software.

A variety of other velocity monitors are also available with different features for different applications.
