Engelhard Corporation's ETX emissions control kit meets the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's 0.10 g/bhp-hr total particulate matter requirement for all 1988 through 1993 DDC 6V92TA DDEC II urban bus engines.

The kit is comprised of in-cylinder GPX coatings, a turbocharger, a CMX catalytic converter muffler and Englehard-specified engine components. The converter muffler offers particulate matter, carbon monoxide and hydrocarbon reductions and uses the same catalyst technology installed in bus and truck engines throughout the US. The coatings are applied to internal combustion components to reduce emissions and improve combustion efficiency.
