Robicon's new advanced cell bypass technology is designed
Robicon's new advanced cell bypass technology is designed to maximize medium voltage drive reliability. The technology maximizes the available voltage from the drive during a power module failure by means of bypassing the disabled module.
Cell bypass uses the manufacturer's patented Neutral-Shift approach to bypass a failed module without major drive speed or voltage reductions. The phase angles of the module voltages are adjusted to prevent unbalanced voltages, allowing one module to be bypassed with minimal losses in voltage capability.
