Catalytic Oxidation System

American Environmental International, Inc. (AEI)en catalytic oxidizers operate with low energy requirements and are designed to produce low levels of NO_x, CO and CO₂. The engineering features a travelling bed filter capable of removing up to 99% of particulate matter greater than 0.5 microns in size from the process exhaust. This reduces fouling of the heat exchanger and the catalyst. The system employs an ADCAT precious metal catalyst that offers a 98%+ VOC destruction efficiency, according to the company, as well as a high surface area for efficiency, an extra precious metal reserve for long life and low energy consumption. A catalyst is available for chlorinated hydrocarbons. A high performance heat exchanger featuring 100% welded stainless steel construction and thermal expansion joints to eliminate stress cracking, is also incorporated.
