Biotoxicity Measurement Tools

The portable EZ-BOD meter measures the immediate oxygen uptake associated with the introduction of an influent stream to the biomass of a wastewater treatment system. It provides fast toxicity screening information that helps reduce the additional plant operating costs associated with a toxic event by predicting influent impact on the treatment system.

The lab-based BI-1000 electrolytic respirometer measures changes in the respiration rate of plant biomass as the influent to the treatment system varies. It supplies information useful for predicting toxicity and provides a proactive approach to influent evaluation. It can steamline operations by providing data to aid in optimizing power requirements and plant operating conditions.

The on line Biomonitor measures BOD and sludge activity for wastewater treatment and process control. It provides continuous continuous, real-time data that predicts toxic events and plant interruptions and reduces the probability of permit violations and extra sewer charges.
