  • Model 43i SO2 Gas Analyzer
    Model 43i SO2 Gas Analyzer

Using pulsed fluorescence technology, the Model 43i measures the amount of sulfur dioxide in the air up to 10ppm. The pulsing of the U.V. source lamp serves to increase the optical intensity whereby a greater U.V. energy throughput and lower detectable SO2 concentration are realized

  • Wet Scrubber Monitoring System
Wet Scrubber Monitoring System An in-situ gas detection-and-measurement system, designed for wet-scrubber emissions, provides detection in environments ...
  • Dry Sorbent Injection (DSI)
    Dry Sorbent Injection (DSI)

Dry sorbent injection using sodium sorbent is a low-cost alternative to a semi-wet or wet scrubbing system for the removal of HCl and SO2. The process requires no slurry equipment or reactor vessel because the sorbent is stored and injected dry into the flue duct where it reacts with the acid gas.

  • EPA No Longer Accepting Paper Submittals

EPA is no longer accepting paper submittals of the Notification of Compliance Status (NOCS) for Energy Assessments for area source boilers. We now require the NOCS to be submitted electronically to the Compliance and Emissions Data Reporting Interface (CEDRI). For further information, please see the implementation videos.

  • EPA And Industry Fail To Settle Waste Unit Risk Policy Fight

The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and industry groups including cement producers have failed to settle a permit dispute that is testing whether the agency has the authority to require operators of hazardous waste combustion units to conduct risk assessments that can be used to strengthen emissions limits for mercury and other pollutants when renewing the facilities' existing waste and air permits. Negotiations stalled during a meeting in November 2013 between EPA lawyers and cement kiln operators at EPA's Region V offices, according to an 8 January 2014 status report the parties filed with the Environmental Appeals Board (EAB). Litigation will continue on 20 February 2014.
