BEx Explosion-Proof Audible Visual Warning Devices

explosionproof

The BEx family of explosion-proof horns, strobes, combination units and loudspeakers from E2S, the leading European manufacturer, is a comprehensive range of warning devices for installation in hazardous locations. BEx offers outstanding performance, a wide choice of different configurations and operating voltages, and is approved for use in both gas and dust hazard areas in Zones 1, 2, 21 and 22. Units in the range are approved to IECEx global, European Union ATEX and Brazilian Inmetro and other national standards and are widely used, particularly in onshore and offshore oil and gas installations throughout the world.

The horns have a choice of 32 alarm tone frequencies, three stages and outputs of 117 or 121dB(A) at 10 ft. Specialised horns include the Appello, which offers user-recordable voice messaging combined with a choice of tones and a long-life, low current electronic alternative to traditional electromechanical bells, sirens and horns. The Xenon strobes are rated at 5, 10, 15 and 21 Joules, giving peak outputs of 35,000, 79,500, 94,750 and 110,800 candela. Also available are multi-LED array versions that provide a choice of nine different flash options. Combined horn-strobe units and double-ended strobes are available, as are multi-unit arrays with different combinations of sounders and strobes on a common mounting plate.

The robust body is manufactured from marine grade, copper free LM6 alloy, phosphated and finished with a powder-coated paint. The re-entrant flare horns are moulded in high impact flame-retardant UL94-V0 ABS. Ease of installation is a key feature and all products have large termination areas. The units operate from a wide choice of voltages including 24VDC, 48VDC, 115VAC or 230VAC.
