Case Study: H2S Oxidation System For Sour Landfill Gas
By Merichem Chemicals & Refinery Services LLC, Gas Technology Products Division

A non-hazardous solid waste landfill in northwestern New Jersey successfully used construction and demolition (C&D) debris screenings as an alternative daily landfill cover for six years, until landfill gas sampling indicated excessively high H2S volumes. While the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency estimates an average of 35.5 parts per million by volume (ppmv) of H2S in landfill gas, the landfill experienced levels as high as 11,400 ppmv as a result of the decomposition of C&D debris screenings...

Recuperative Oxidizer Systems
Recuperative oxidizer systems are designed with a combustion chamber that maintains 1400°F to 1500°F, depending on the design parameters, VOC constituents and odor control requirements. Destruction levels of our recuperative systems are in excess of 99%. Request additional information from Controlled Environment Equipment.

Petro Xtractor Oil Skimmers
This oil skimmer provides efficient remediation of groundwater contaminated by oil, using existing recovery and monitoring wells. Often, the PetroXtractor Skimmer working alone will reduce oil or fuel content to an acceptable E.P.A. level. Request additional information from Abanaki Corporation.

MIRAN SapphIRe Medical Library
The MIRAN SapphIRe Series of Ambient Air Analyzers is the most versatile gas detection system on the market today. The MIRAN SapphIRe Analyzer is available in three models with gas calibrations from one to over 100 gases. Any model can be easily upgraded to another model in the series, allowing you to economically meet both current requirements and future increased needs. Request additional information from Thermo Fisher Scientific.

Catalyst Sales & Testing Services
Routine testing of the catalyst is a cost-effective way to ensure uninterrupted operation of your oxidizer and to document its performance. When coupled with an annual preventive maintenance check, catalyst testing can verify that a unit is in compliance. Request additional information from MEGTEC Systems.
